Unity Tutorial 07

The final tutorial was based around adding audio and sound effects into the game as well as making it ready for distribution. Now the audio part of this tutorial wasn't too bad as I had done it before in the 3d tutorials from last semester. It was slow at first adding in the sounds but once I got going it was handy enough remembering what to do from last semester.

However the publishing part was a totally new and alien part of Unity for me.

ready to edit publishing details

This wasn't too difficult to grasp after reading through the tutorial. The basic summary of it is getting your final product ready to download and publish by adding some last minute details such as choosing graphics/resolution and the platform you want the game to be played on.

Looking back on the tutorials overall it was a fun a new experience. There were some elements that were familiar and others that were new. Thankfully the new elements made the tutorials different enough that it didn't become a repetitive and tedious carbon copy of the 3d tutorials. All in all the tutorials were a fun task to complete over the last few weeks and I may pick up some other projects in my own time.
